Microsoft recently introduced two new functions in Excel: IMPORTCSV and IMPORTTEXT.
These functions allow you to bring external data directly into your worksheet using a single formula.
Instead of opening CSV or text files manually—or building a full Power Query connection—you can now connect to a file or web source instantly and keep that data refreshable.
In my latest video, I walk through:
How the new functions work
Nesting with other functions such as GROUPBY
If you regularly work with exported data or shared files, this is a feature worth learning right away.
Watch the video and try it with your own datasets to see how quickly you can turn external files into live Excel reports.
