Have you ever needed to sort Excel data in a specific order other than alphabetical, Ascending/Descending? For example, if you have a list of clothing inventory and you want to sort the list by size.
What happens if you sort the list by SIZE? The default behavior in Excel would be to sort the values alphabetically. In this case of an ASCENDING SORT, we would get LARGE (L), then MEDIUM (M), then SMALL (S), etc...
This is great, but not the best order for clothing sizes. I want to sort the list by ascending order of the size.
X-SMALL
SMALL
MEDIUM
LARGE
X-LARGE
In order to perform this specific sort order, we need to create and use a CUSTOM LIST that specifies the sort order we want.
